President Donald Trump recently posted, “The only reason that communities throughout the U.S.A. should not want Data Centers is if they want to end up being backwards and poor. If they want to be successful and rich, with far lower taxes and jobs all over the place, let Data Reign.”

My guest Will Hild isn’t against Data Centers, but wrote a Fox News op-ed saying that “Data Centers forgot the consumer” and that less than “30% of Americans support Data Centers in their community.” That means the 70+ percent who oppose them are, according to Trump “backwards and poor”.

All over the country, Americans are packing out city halls and county commission meetings trying to stop data centers from being built. Concerns range from energy bills and water contamination to tonal noise and lack of long-term jobs. But one of the main drivers of opposition in the tri-state regions is the lack of transparency from local/state officials.
