Earlier this year, Do No Harm released a report on the ways healthcare providers could skirt medical coding rules to receive insurance reimbursements for such procedures. DNH has also extensively contributed to the recent establishment of distinct medical diagnosis codes for gender transition, desistance, and detransition.

Now the Department of Health and Human Services is exposing fraudulent coding for transgender procedures on minors. The report, entitled Wolves in White Coats: How Doctors and Hospitals Pushed and Profited from the Fraud of “Gender Medicine,” cites Do No Harm research throughout the report highlighting the institutions that provide sex-rejecting interventions to children.

Dr. Kurt Miceli, Chief Medical Officer at Do No Harm, gives insight on this breakthrough report and how providers can use fraudulent healthcare codes for transgender procedures on minors.
