When you talk to people who don’t share your beliefs about controversial issues, are you able to tell them the reason why you believe what you believe? It’s important for Christians to take a stand on right and wrong, but it’s not enough to just say, “That’s what I believe.” The world needs answers and we should be always ready to give an answer…an answer based on the solid foundation of God’s Word! Let’s look at two hot-botton issues: homosexuality and abortion. Most church members would say they believe homosexuality is wrong, but when pressed, they don’t know why. Christians have long been prolife advocates, but why do we believe abortion is wrong? We must go to the Bible for the answers.
