Congressman Andy Barr has represented Kentucky’s 6th district in the US House since first elected in 2012. With long-time Sen. Mitch McConnell retiring after next year, Barr announced in April he is seeking the GOP nomination for that position. The Kentucky Primary is May 19, 2026.
