Beginning Oct. 1st, the City of Ashland, KY (where I host my morning radio program) started parking enforcement. Previously, parking was completely free in downtown Ashland. Now, starting at 9am, if you’re parked for more than 2 hours, you’re subject to a $5 ticket. In trying to avoid a ticket, I have now been leaving the city earlier, which means I don’t stick around for lunch anymore. Last Friday, after eating at an establishment outside the city limits, I thought to share my perspective with a short Facebook video that went viral. Some folks had a different opinion (which is totally acceptable), but I also took some heat from them on social media. But rather than a back-n-forth online (which gets you no where), I invited a couple of the detractors to have a civil discussion in the studio. After schedules were worked out, we had just that in the studio, on my morning radio show. Bryan Hall, owner of Bluegrass Collectors & Josh Blanton, former City Commissioner, joined me for an informative show.
