“Safety” Always The Excuse When Taking Away Freedom

Civil asset forfeiture – a tool used by police to seize property and assume permanent possession of it without convicting, or even charging, the owner criminally. Open Fields Doctrine – allows Natural Resource Police (think Game Warden) to come on YOUR property without a warrant or probable cause. Vehicle Inspection Sticker – forces West Virginians to go to a mechanic to get a sticker so the State Police can get funding. All of these (and more) are sold as “for your safety”, but they are really for your infringement of freedom. Listen to WV GOP Delegate Charles Horst and I discuss these important issues.
