House Leadership Killed Senator Mike Stuart’s Bills

The 2025 West Virginia Legislative Session concluded Saturday and Senate Judiciary Chair Mike Stuart shares his frustrations in this recap. Several of his bills either died in the House or in Senate Finance. This session is likely Stuart’s last. In February, Pres. Trump chose him for general counsel of Health & Human Services. He will face a Senate confirmation hearing at the end of April.
